Taco Dip

Need an easy, no-bake appetizer?  This taco dip is full of flavor and very festive!

The ingredients are simple, but they all come together for the perfect savory snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 blocks (8 oz. each) of Philly Cream Cheese, softened
  • (1) 16 oz. container of sour cream
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning mix
  • 1 diced medium/large tomato
  • 3/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 3.8 oz. black olives
  • Kraft® shredded Mexican style four cheese

Instructions:

  1. Shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, and rinse/strain black olives before starting so all of your ingredients are ready to go.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and the sour cream. Sometimes I just mix with a wooden spoon, but it helps to use a hand mixer to really blend the ingredients together.
  3. Mix in the taco seasoning and stir until it is evenly incorporated throughout the mixture.
  4. Scoop cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning mix into a large, shallow glass pan. Smooth it with a spatula.
  5. Put one layer of shredded lettuce into the pan next.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Then added the diced tomatoes and olives.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips!

I also scooped some of the mixture into Tostitos® Scoops, topped them off with the lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and olives for an alternative presentation that is great for party guests to grab and eat!

You can also vary the toppings to your taste. Skip the olives and add jalapeños if you like a little more spice or mix up the type of taco seasoning for a bolder flavor. Make this dip your own and have fun with it!
